iSchool Becomes the First Egyptian EdTech Company to Earn the ISTE Seal

August 1, 2026

iSchool, the leading K-12 AI and coding education platform in the MENA region, today announced that it has been officially accredited with the ISTE Seal by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), becoming the first Egyptian EdTech company to receive this recognition.

The ISTE Seal is a product certification awarded following a rigorous review conducted by a third-party panel of experts in education, instruction, and technology. To earn it, iSchool's platform and curriculum were evaluated against ISTE's framework across five dimensions covering platform usability, privacy and security, accessibility, alignment with the ISTE Standards, and the effective implementation of digital pedagogy.

The ISTE Standards serve as the foundation of the evaluation. Adopted by educators across all 50 U.S. states and used in schools worldwide, the Standards define the competencies required for learning, teaching, and leading in the digital age. Products that earn the Seal are confirmed to support evidence-based, high-impact pedagogy and to be designed for scalable, equitable learning experiences.

With this accreditation, iSchool joins a global community of trusted EdTech products alongside industry leaders including Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Canva, and Kahoot!

[DRAFT QUOTE — for CEO approval]"Earning the ISTE Seal is an external validation of something our team has worked toward since day one: building a platform that meets the highest global standards, not just regional ones," said Muhammad Gawish, Co-founder and CEO of iSchool. "For an Egyptian company to be the first in the country to achieve this signals what is possible from this region, and it reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class technology education."

As part of the recognition, iSchool will be featured in the ISTE EdTech Index, the reference platform educators and EdTech buyers use to search for and evaluate learning technology solutions. The listing extends iSchool's visibility through ISTE's global partner network, including Clever Inc., ClassLink, and Lightspeed, reaching more than 177,000 schools worldwide.

The accreditation arrives at a period of continued expansion for iSchool. With more than 150,000 graduates across 20+ countries, the company continues to grow its presence across the MENA region and beyond, with an increasing focus on large-scale institutional and government partnerships.

This milestone marks another step forward in iSchool's journey to deliver world-class technology education and equip the next generation with future-ready skills.
