iSchool Policies

Education Policies

Scheduling & Rescheduling Policy:

  • To provide outstanding programs, iSchool may have to limit students’ ability to make changes (such as registering for a different course or changing attendance dates) and/or cancel a Program.

  • A guardian/ parent should report that the student will be absent before not attending the session by at least 24 hours.

  • The student must attend his/her total tuition hours to get all his/her certification.

  • In case the student wishes to change his/her specialization, a student is allowed to request to shift to another specialization before the 8th session from the starting date of the foundation program.

  • in case the student wishes to change his/her specialization after attending more than 8 sessions, iSchool has the right to charge extra fees and the student shall be asked to start the requested specialization at a certain starting point (session 11).

  • After confirming the sessions schedule time, in case the student guardians didn’t answer the communication with iSchool team and the student didn’t attend the session, a Recap session will be automatically allocated and the guardians will be notified. In case the guardians didn’t answer the communications and the student didn’t attend the Recap sessions:

1- The Recap session is deducted from the student Recap allowance.

2- The Student will be provided extra learning materials OR recorded video.

  • Also, iSchool will not be responsible for the student's acquired knowledge and skills, as well as can’t guarantee achieved learning outcomes specified at the end of the session, hence the overall learning outcomes specified at the end of each program unit, and, depending on the content of the session-period missed, the student will incur one of the following consequences:

1- Extra Research/ brainstorming activity / presentation to be determined by the instructor and submitted by the student to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session.

2- Extra project / exercise to be determined by the instructor, added to the assigned projects to be submitted by the student at the end of the program unit and to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session.

3- Extra presentation/ Activity to be determined by the instructor and submitted by the student to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session.

  • In case the absence continued for more than 2 consecutive sessions and their respective recaps (without pressing reasons) iSchool has the right to partially or fully suspend the subscription (with no refunds) and allocate the student (if allowed) into another group, all depending on iSchool decision on each case.

Recap Policy:

  • Recap hours shall be automatically allocated in case of session absence for the first 12 sessions of the program unit.

  • Recap hours are not included for the assessment project sessions.

  • In case of a student absence, the student will be allocated in a Recap session by max of 9 hours per level.

  • Recap scheduled times are fixed (Two fixed days per week).

  • Recap sessions duration is between 30-60 minutes.

  • Students are required to study the student material before the Recap sessions.

  • Recap hours shall be automatically allocated in case of session absence for the first 12 sessions of the program unit.

  • Recap hours are not included for the assessment project sessions.

  • Recap session’s educator isn’t necessary the same as the scheduled educator.

Notes:

  • In case the student absence from a Recap session, the following will be applied:

  • The Recap session is deducted from the student Recap allowance.

  • The student will be provided extra learning materials OR recorded video.

 

  • Recording Sessions:

iSchool has the right to record the educational sessions and use them for internal purposes either quality assurance or as education materials or in any marketing efforts. iSchool is the sole owner of such recordings.

Financial Policies

Service Price:

  • iSchool 1-Year Subscription original price is 23,400 Egyptian Pounds.

Payment Policy:

  • All registrations must charge a 1,200 EGP as an application fee for any programs before starting scheduled programs and its non-refundable or non-transferable. And it's deducted in case of completion of a full.

  • iSchool has the right to charge an extra 1% of due payment as a late fee on any payments not paid by the due date till 7 days after that and 2% of due payment until 14 days after the due date after which the subscription may be cancelled.

  • All fees (registration, late, applications.) must be paid prior to the start of a Program, unless a payment plan has been agreed to. Students may be withdrawn from a Program if the Program has not been paid in full prior to the start of the Program, or if at any time a payment is not paid by 14 days after the due date.

  • All payments or instalment plans have a maximum duration which is 270 days (9 Months) of registration date

  • By agreeing to a subscription or payment plan, you are authorizing iSchool to auto-charge the credit card on file as agreed at the time of purchase.

Cancelation & Refund Policy:

  • Guarantee Duration:

iSchool guarantees 14 days from membership starting day or the first two scheduled classes with full tuition refund (excluding application fees).
 

  • Refund Policy:

In case the student or guardians request refund or cancel the membership for any reason; request will be processed within 5 working days and accepted and refund can be made, in the meantime the deposit or application fees will be charged and non-refundable and non-transferable and tuition fees will be refunded within 10 working days by bank transfer only.

In case the student or the guardians request a refund or cancel the membership after the guarantee duration no refund or transfer can be made.

Unless the membership has been registered with platinum subscription [ the total fees paid once during registration] in this case we can make a partial refund calculated as [number of used classes + 20% of tuition fees] charged and the refund amount will be refunded within 15 working days by bank transfer.

If iSchool cancels or holds a program for any reason outside its control (Flood, Pandemics,), the fees paid will remain in the student account as a credit, and the balance.

 

  • Vouchers:

All vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash. vouchers must be redeemed at the time of registration. vouchers are valid until the specified expiration date, without exception. They cannot be merged and valid for up to the amount issued, and any amounts not used are forfeited.

Operation Policies

Ownership and Copyright:

  • All copyrights on iSchool materials, including design, software, application, graphic files, text, computer codes, and anything else included in the site, are owned solely by the company and/or by the company’s service providers, and/or by its business partners, according to the subject. It is forbidden to copy, distribute, or publicly show, translate, or transfer to any third party, any part of the above without the explicit and prior permission from iSchool, in writing.
    The domain name of the site and any of the company’s trademarks (whether registered or unregistered) belong solely to iSchool LLC. In any case the Guardian or the student didn’t comply with the previous policy iSchool has the right to suspend the subscription with no refunds and to be compensated for the material and moral damage from the other party with a financial compensation by an amount estimated by iSchool.

Equipment and Requirements:

  • iSchool bears no responsibility for the student’s equipment (e.g., computer, modem, and speakers). In other words, the guardian/parent is exclusively responsible for the condition of his personal equipment and for performing the obligatory technical checks.

Force Majeure:

  • iSchool shall not be liable for failure to perform, nor be deemed to be in default for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of state or governmental authorities, acts of terrorism, natural catastrophe, fire, storm, flood, earthquake, riot, insurrection, civil disturbance, sabotage, embargo, blockade, acts of war, or power failure. In the event of such delay, the date of service delivery will be extended by a period of time reasonably necessary to overcome the effect of any such delay.

iSchool Code of Conduct

Educators Code of Conduct

  • iSchool is responsible for enforcing the following code of conduct on their educators’ team, to maintain a successful education process which will guarantee that the student will acquire the designed learning knowledge and skills:

    • Instructors Should:

      • Respect and follow iSchool policies & code of conduct.

      • Model strong character traits, including perseverance, honesty, respect, lawfulness, fairness, patience, and unity.

      • Treat every student with kindness and respect without showing any favoritism, prejudice or partiality. 

      • Seeks to resolve problems, including discipline, according to iSchool policies.

      • Present facts without distortion, bias, or personal prejudice.

      • Teach students based on iSchool curriculum within his specialist subject areas.

      • Plan, prepare for the sessions and deliver them.

      • Encourage students’ participation and provide educational and social guidance.

      • Ensure the highest standards of quality and apply the most up-to-date teaching methods.

      • Assess and report the progress and behavior of students after each session by 72 Hours.

      • Initiate iSchool sessions from a stable environment, to ensure the best session quality for the educator and students, and also to ensure the highest information absorption value for the student, it is not recommended to initiate the session from the following environments such as:

  1. A non-closed, noisy environment.

  2. In transportation.

  3. Any environment that may cause a distraction to the student, other students in the same group or to the session flow.

 

  • Instructors should respect not to:

    • Intentionally expose the student to disparagement.

    • Reveal confidential information concerning students, unless a scenario warrants involvement from parents, school administration, or law enforcement.

    • Be late to program scheduled sessions.

    • Postpone or change the time of the session without prior notice (48 Hours).

  • Notes:

    •  In case the educator is late by more than 30 minutes, an extra Recap session will be allocated and the Recap session will not be deducted from the student Recap allowance.

    • In case the educator is absent from the scheduled session without a replacement in place, the group will be compensated by an extra session.

Guardian/Parent Code of Conduct:

  • The Guardian/Parent is respectfully committed to follow the following code of conduct:

    • Parents/Guardians Should:

      • Respect and follow iSchool policies & code of conduct.

      • Attest to the student's medical health and ability to engage in iSchool activities, in case of any needed details or requested medical reports, parents/guardians must report with necessary documents and information.

      • Review the content/ roadmap presented, and follow up the student progress through the tracking link provided.

      • Commit to the age range specified for each membership program in case of student’s admission, specifying the four age ranges:

      • B age ranges start from 6 years old up to 8 years old and 11 months exactly.

      • C age ranges start from 9 years old up to 11 years old and 11 months exactly.

      • D age ranges start from 12 years old up to 14 years old and 11 months exactly.

      • E age ranges start from 15 years old up to 18 years old exactly.

      • Notes:

      • If the student wishes to enroll in a different program with a different age range than the age range, he/she is specified to, or join in a different program section in which he/she skips specific program parts that shall require higher technical and skills requirements, he or she must first take and pass an admission exam to join such program.

      • iSchool encourages all participants and students to embrace differences; our curriculum and session experience are based on the passion for technology that respects all religions, races, and values, and ensures that all students, regardless of cognitive capacity, have equal opportunities; thus, if a student has a special health or cognitive issue, In such case, the student may take a test and be interviewed with an educational specialist to decide the best option for him or her; in this case, the student might be assigned to a particular age group that is more appropriate for him or her, or to a specific instructor that is more successful in meeting the student's needs.

 

  • Parents/Guardians should respect not to:

    • Attend a session with the student unless the student was between the age of (6 – 8) years old.

    • Communicate or deliver any complaints or inquiries to the instructor during the sessions, instead deliver any complaints directly to your account manager / customer service.

    • Bully, intimidate, or harass other students, instructors, or any iSchool workers.

    • Express any type of discrimination, racism against other students, instructors or iSchool workers.

    • Notes:

    • If guardians/parents requested to change the student’s instructor or the student’s group, in such cases, iSchool approval is required after investigating the case and reason.

    • All certificates listed in the journey are subject to change/updates based on technological advancements on a regular basis.

    • All educational curriculums and learning outcomes listed in the journey are subject to change/updates based on technological advancements on a regular basis.

Students Code of Conduct:

  • The Guardian/Parent is respectfully responsible for enforcing the following code of conduct on the student:​

    • Students should:

      • Submit all the required projects and assignments specified at the end of each program unit, which includes:

        • All program sessions main projects and exercises performed, submitted by the student and reviewed by the instructor during each session.

        • Assignments and homework that are assigned at the end of each session and are due and checked at the start of the next.

        • Penalty tasks, if there is, to be submitted by the student and reviewed by the instructor at the start of the next session and at the end if the program unit assigned.

        • If there are any penalty assignments, they must be submitted by the student and evaluated by the instructor at the beginning of the next session and at the end of the program unit.

  • Pass the assessments specified at the end of each program unit which are project based designed, utilizing all the learning outcomes specified during the program unit.

  • In case the student didn’t pass the assessment specified at the end of each program unit, the student won’t be eligible to join the next program, he or she will be assessed and might be recommended to repeat a certain portion of the program unit depending on the predetermined starting points per program unit:

    • First starting point: from session 1 – session 6 per program unit

    • Second starting point: from session 7 – session 12 per program unit

  • Join iSchool sessions from a stable environment, to ensure the best session quality for the student and for the other students joining the session in the same group, and also to ensure the highest information absorption value for the student, it is not recommended for the student to join the session from the following environments such as:

    • A non-closed, noisy environment.

    • In transportation.

    • Any environment that may cause a distraction to the student, other students in the same group or to the session flow.

  • In case the student has joined the session from an unstable environment, iSchool will not be accountable for the student’s acquired knowledge and skills and can’t guarantee achieved learning outcomes listed at the end of each program unit.

    • Attend all membership sessions with a limit of three absences per program unit (14 sessions including two assessment sessions); in the event of a session absence, the session must be recapped, and a recap session will be allocated to the student if the student did not reach the maximum allocated recap hours per program unit.

  • In case the student has exceeded the maximum limit of three absences per program unit in addition to maximum allocated recap hours’ consumption per program unit, the student shall be assigned a recap with an extra fees and assigned to review and study the missed session’s material noting that the overall student evaluation might be affected due to absence rate.

 

  • Students should not:

    • Act in a non-ethical way with other students, instructors, or any iSchool workers, in case of such behavior, the case shall be reported to the guardians and the student will be submitted to positive disciplinary actions suggested by worldwide education-child behavior experts.

    • Bully, intimidate, or harass other students, instructors, or any iSchool workers.

    • Express any type of discrimination, racism against other students, instructors or iSchool workers, in such cases we follow up with the student to enhance such behavior and the guardians will be reported.

    • Leave during the session time without any prior excuse.

    • Share detailed personal information with staff members or ask staff members for their personal information.

    • Record any sessions or presented material, in such case, the student will be asked to not pursue recording, such case shall be reported to parents/guardians and the student might be suspended from the membership program.

    • Commit to the session organization and rules, taking turns in participation and cooperation in the session experience guided by the trained instructor and determined by STEAM experts.

    • Be late to program sessions, with a limit of 10 minutes permitted lateness period; if the student arrives late to any sessions, iSchool will not be responsible for the student's acquired knowledge and skills, as well as can’t guarantee achieved learning outcomes specified at the end of the session, hence the overall learning outcomes specified at the end of each program unit, and, depending on the content of the session-period missed, the student will incur one of the following consequences:

      • Extra Research/ brainstorming activity / presentation to be determined by the instructor and submitted by the student to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session if the student has missed a part of the engage/explore phase.

      • Extra project / exercise to be determined by the instructor, added to the assigned projects to be submitted by the student at the end of the program unit and to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session if the student has missed a part of the making phase.

    • Exceed the time allocated for break times during the session or Leave during the active session time with no technical issues or without any prior approved excuse, in such case iSchool will not be responsible for the student's acquired knowledge and skills, as well as can’t guarantee achieved learning outcomes specified at the end of the session, hence the overall learning outcomes specified at the end of each program unit, and, depending on the content of the session-period missed, the student will incur one of the following consequences:

      • Extra Research/ brainstorming activity / presentation to be determined by the instructor and submitted by the student to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session if the student has missed a part of the engage/explore phase.

      • Extra project / exercise to be determined by the instructor, added to the assigned projects to be submitted by the student at the end of the program unit and to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session if the student has missed a part of the making phase.

    • Extra presentation/ Activity to be determined by the instructor and submitted by the student to be reviewed by the instructor on the next session if the student was late on the evaluate phase.

 

  • Note:

    • In case the student didn’t submit the required assignments, material and projects at the end of the program unit, the student won’t be eligible to join the next program, he or she will not be able to begin the next program unit until all the assigned projects have been completed.

iSchool Service Details

  • iSchool provides a distinguished STEAM based parallel education service for kids and young adults between 6 and 18 years old in three different journey tracks: Robotics, Computer Science & Design.

    • Main Service Details

      • iSchool Main Service is 1- Year Subscription Package with a total of 255 Hours divided into:

      • 115 Hours: In Class Hours (Live Tutoring Sessions).

      • 115 Hours: Student Self Study (Material Study, Assignments & Projects).

      • 25 Hours: Using iSchool education platform.

      • The subscription package also includes the following features:

      • Assessment projects between each program unit.

      • Q&A Dashboard for communication between students and instructors between each session.

      • Pre-enrolment test for each program level.

      • Specialization in one track or more.

      • Maximum 6 students per group.

      • Feedback chart Measuring Student’s Learning outcomes and skills achieved.

      • Certificates of qualification for students as detailed in the roadmap.

      • An account manager, which will be responsible for your membership and for ensuring the level of service and speedy resolution of any problem that might occurs.

      • Adequate educators with appropriate knowledge and ethics who will follow iSchool code of conducts in the following term.

      • The service will start on a later date scheduled with the Guardians during the next intake patch.
